ADJUSTMENTS
We all agree... there's nothing worse than playing a musical instrument that is poorly adjusted! At Hendrix Lutherie, we understand the importance of a quality annual adjustment to maximize the comfort and sound of your instrument. Most instruments are made of natural wood, which has the characteristic of frequently moving due to changes in temperature and humidity. That's why it's extremely important to have them adjusted generally once a year. By dealing with Hendrix Lutherie, you can benefit from a finely precise adjustment, personalized to your taste... which even includes a full fret polish!
FRET WORK
Frets are easily the most overlooked item when it comes to precision adjustments. In many cases, frets can wear out, change shape, and most importantly... they can even become uneven over time. In order to achieve the lowest possible "action" (string height), it is essential that all your frets are perfectly level. On a different note, regarding newer instruments, the wood in the neck contains a high moisture content. Over time, the wood dries out and tends to shrink, exposing the fret ends, giving the impression that the frets are "sharp". In such cases, it is necessary to file and polish the ends to maximize the comfort of the instrument. Additionally, frets must have a specific shape to ensure accurate and precise intonation. At Hendrix Lutherie, we offer the complete fret service to ensure that your adjustment is as precise and comfortable as possible.
ELECTRONICS
Are you among the unfortunate ones experiencing anomalies with the electronics of your instrument? Perhaps you hear "crackling" noises when you turn certain electronic knobs? Or maybe some of them have simply stopped working? Maybe even your pickups seem to be making unwanted background noises and would like to have it fixed? If that’s your case, at Hendrix Lutherie, our luthiers are also electronics experts and can certainly repair problems of all kinds.
STRUCTURAL REPAIRS
Have you ever experienced a break or a fracture on your instrument? Would you like to have the possibility of having it repaired? Know that in most cases, even if we're talking about a break in the wood, more often than not…it's repairable! At Hendrix Lutherie, we're here to help. Our experienced luthiers have successfully repaired hundreds of instruments. So before considering throwing it away or using it as firewood, remember that in most cased there is a possibility to save the instrument and preserve it’s life. Moreover, the cost of repair often turns out to being less expensive, in comparison to the price of purchasing a new replacement instrument.
